Get more support than weekly therapy can provide
A weekly appointment can leave too much room for panic, depression, substance use, or relapse risk to take over before the next session arrives. If you keep having one hard day, one hard night, or one hard stretch at home that resets the whole week, the problem may not be effort.
The problem may be that you need more support during the week than standard therapy can give.
We offer Arizona virtual IOP for adults who need structured treatment during the week without leaving work, family, or home behind to get it. Before intake, we review symptoms, safety, schedule, insurance, and home privacy so you know what starting online care would actually require.
What is a Virtual IOP Program?
An Online Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a level of care between inpatient and outpatient treatment, offering intensive therapy while patients live at home. Key features of an IOP include:
- ⌛ Frequent sessions: Participants join multiple sessions a week for consistent support.
- 💼 Flexibility: IOP schedules can be tailored to work or school obligations.
- ⏰ Duration: IOPs may last from a handful of weeks to months, based on personal progress and needs.
At Modern, we provide comprehensive & compassionate support during treatment.
Why Arizona residents choose our Virtual IOP

- 🩺 Dual diagnosis: Holistic treatment for both mental and substance issues.
Get several treatment sessions each week from home
We build virtual IOP around a defined weekly plan so you know how often treatment happens and what type of support is included.
- Several sessions each week: We may schedule 3-hour sessions on 3 or 5 days a week when you need that much support. That gives you repeated treatment hours during the week instead of one reset every seven days.
- Live group therapy: In online groups, you work with clinicians and other adults who are also trying to stay honest between sessions. That repeated connection can interrupt isolation before it takes over the week again.
- Individual therapy tied to the week you are actually living: We use one-on-one sessions to work on the patterns showing up at home, at work, in relationships, and in the hours between sessions.
- Recovery coaching and case management: We can help you work through the parts of the week where old routines usually come back, not just talk about them after the fact.
- Support after IOP ends: We plan for what comes after IOP before you are close to discharge, so support does not suddenly drop off when treatment ends.
Get support before the week falls apart
If the panic is back by Tuesday, the drinking restarts by Thursday, or the shutdown returns the minute work and home pile on, the gap between appointments is doing more damage than it looks like on paper.
- When work keeps absorbing the fallout: You may still be showing up while functioning worse each week. With several sessions in the same week, we can help you work on the problem while it is active instead of after another lost stretch.
- When home life keeps shrinking around symptoms: It can start to look like canceled plans, shorter patience, less parenting energy, less honesty, and more avoidance. We help you respond earlier so the whole routine does not keep narrowing around the same problem.
- When substance use keeps negotiating its way back in: If you keep setting limits and breaking them, the missing piece may be support between sessions, not more promises to yourself. In virtual IOP, we can work on the urge before another drink, pickup, or binge resets everything.
- When you are stepping down from residential, PHP, or another intensive program: Going straight back to minimal support can leave too much open space for old patterns. Virtual IOP can keep several therapy hours on your schedule each week so the drop in support is not so abrupt.

Treatment is tailored around work and family
Needing more support does not erase your job, your kids, your household, or the people depending on you. Before intake, we talk through session hours, privacy, caregiving, work shifts, and home responsibilities so you can see what the weekly commitment would actually ask of you
- Current timing options: Hours may include morning, midday, or evening options when available. You can compare the schedule against work shifts, caregiving, school pickup, and other fixed responsibilities before enrollment.
- No commute to treatment: You attend online from home or another private setting instead of spending more time driving to care.
- A defined weekly commitment before enrollment: We explain how often sessions meet, how long they run, and what participation looks like before you decide. The time has to be protected honestly, not underestimated.
- Family support when it would help treatment hold: Family support may be included in this adult program when better communication, clearer boundaries, or more informed support at home would strengthen recovery.
Verify your schedule, coverage, and costs before intake
You should not have to schedule intake just to learn what your insurance may cover, or what the first week would require. Our admissions team handles those questions up front so you can decide with real information.
- First call review: We start with what is happening now, what support you have already tried, and whether symptoms, substance use, relapse risk, and home demands still fit online treatment.
- Insurance verification: We can review your insurance information and check possible benefits before treatment begins. You get a clearer picture of potential coverage and out-of-pocket responsibility while final determinations stay with the insurer.
- Pre-screening and planning: If online treatment can safely match your symptoms and schedule, we move into pre-screening and logistics so you know what starting would actually require.
- A clearer view of the first week: If you decide to move forward, we explain the next steps and help you prepare for the first week so treatment starts organized, not rushed.
